Art in Action
Program 3: A Perspective in Art
Use aerial and vanishing point perspectives to create three-dimensional illusions. Perspective tricks help students see the world in new ways. Students investigate the methods of Maurice Utrillo and Paul Cezanne—varying size and overlapping forms—to create the illusion of distance, explore Johannes Vermeer’s manipulation of color, and learn how composition and technique impact a viewer’s perspective.
